How to use the “collect for output” feature in Quark
Once the job is complete, verify that all links are up to date. From the menu at the top, select Utilities>Usage to verify that all fonts and images are linked to the appropriate files. Select File>Collect for Output from the menu. A new window will prompt you to select where you would like the collected file saved. Select New Folder renamed appropriately and choose “Layout, Linked Pictures, Printer Fonts and Screen Fonts.” A full set of files will be duplicated and found in the location you selected. Locate the “collected” folder and compress the folder using using sit, sea, sitx or zip for MAC and zip for PC. The file is now ready to upload to the FTP site.

How to use the “package” feature in InDesign
Once the job is complete, from the menu at the top, select Window>Links to verify that all images are linked to the appropriate files; select Type>Find Font to see if any fonts are missing
Select File>Package from the menu and a new window appears showing a summary of information about the document. If there are problems with the file, it will be noted here. Click “Package” to continue and a window for Printing Instructions appears, which can be completed or not. Click “Continue” to select the files to include for packaging — Copy Fonts, Copy Linked Graphics, Update Graphic Links In Package, Use Document Hyphenation Exceptions Only, Included Fonts And Links From Hidden and Non-Printing Content — and click Save.
Locate the “packaged” file and compress using sit, sea, sitx or zip for MAC and zip for PC. The file is now ready to upload to the FTP site.
